Recently, the crew at Beards Drilling had a unique opportunity to provide anchoring on an existing spillway to the Paluma Dam (or known to locals as Paluma Lake). Nestled in amongst World Heritage listed rainforests, the dam is part of a unique water supply system that gravity feeds up to 50 megalitres of water per day to the city of Townsville, QLD. In this case the specialised Drilling equipment used by Beards Drilling Is more than capable of navigating at the unique angles need in this hard-to-reach environment, ensuring that the residents of Townsville’s water supply remains unimpacted.
